Dive into my Makeup Bag!

Welcome to my makeup bag! In here you’ll find a ton of brushes that need washed, but you’ll also find some budget friendly products that create professional looking results! I love high end products, but a lot of the things I use on a daily basis are very budget friendly! I hope you’ll enjoy the little mix of products that I use!

First, you’ll always want a good canvas for makeup. Since your canvas is your face, you’re going to want to take care of it! First, Here’s a few tips for the perfect makeup face:

1. Remember to wash and moisturize your face before applying makeup for best results!
2. Don't skip out on exfoliating! If you have oily skin you'll want to exfoliate 3-4 times a week. If you have dry to normal skin you'll want to exfoliate twice a week!
3. ALWAYS put primer on! Just using moisturizer doesn't cut it. Primer creates a barrier between your skin and the makeup! Primer can help absorb excess oils, and it keeps your foundation out of any fine lines and wrinkles!

1. Glossier | Priming Moisturizer

I’m going to go in order of what to use. First I use a bit of Glossier’s Priming Moisturizer. I really like this primer because it’s light and buildable, non-scented, and it moisturizes your skin! (You’ll still want to use moisturizer beforehand!) I use about a nickel sized drop on my face and neck when I do my makeup, so this tube will last you for a few months. It creates a perfect smooth canvas for applying your foundation.

I would not recommend this product for those with oily skin. I have very dry skin, so I need all the moisture I can get! Glossier also makes a richer version of this that I haven’t yet tried!

Glossier Priming Moisturizer: $22

2. Colourpop Cosmetics | Sweet Talk Palette

This palette is my go to. I have tons of eyeshadow palettes, but I always gravitate towards this one. I love all of the warm tone, desert-y, mattes in this, but don’t you dare underestimate these glitters! They go on and stay on, even without any eyeshadow primer! My favorite out of all of them is definitely “side 2 side.” It’s a glitter that gives you a gorgeous, shimmering, “wet look.” When I hit the pan on that color, I might actually cry real tears… Or, maybe not, because this palette is only $18

Colourpop Cosmetics Sweet Talk Palette: $18

3. Colourpop Cosmetics | BFF Liner

Another Colourpop product, the BFF Liquid Liner is my favorite liner ever. It’s comparable to Stila’s or Kat Von D‘s. (Who, I must remind you, is very much still canceled.) The staying power in this is almost great to a fault. It takes some scrubbing to get off! Colourpop also doesn’t skimp out on the amount they give you! One pen will usually last me a month! It’s also super afforable! $8 versus $20 for Kat Von D’s, or $22 for Stila’s! Colourpop is such an amazing company. I get so many products from them, and I’m never disappointed!

Colourpop BFF Liquid Liner: $8

4. Tarte | Maneater Mascara

Tarte’s Maneater Mascara gives my lashes length and volume. I really love how good the wand is at separating the lashes because, I can not stand clumpy mascara! It also makes your bottom lashes look amazing!

Tarte Maneater Mascara: $23

5. Ardell Lashes

Ardell Lashes are my go to for strip lashes. They are extremely cheap, but such good quality! I use a bunch of different styles from them, but these wispy demi’s are one of my favorite pairs. They fit my eye shape and size so well that, sometimes, I don’t even have to trim them! The only negative? I would keep a better lash glue than what it comes with.

Ardell Demi Black Lashes: $3.79

6. Milani | Conceal + Perfect Foundation

This is my go-to, all time favorite foundation! For, not only, the quality of it, but the price, as well! This foundation is full coverage! It gives you perfectly matte looking skin, and covers any blemishes, or spots you feel need corrected! I use a beauty sponge to apply it for an airbrushed look.

Milani Conceal + Perfect Foundation: $8.99

7. E.L.F. 16 Hr Camo Concealer

E.L.F.has outdone themselves on this concealer. The 16 HR Camo Concealer is a popular dupe for Tarte’s Shape Tape Concealer. I can see why!  It’s super creamy and easy to buff out. It provides beautiful coverage and really ups your contour! Thank God for E.L.F. because Tarte’s Shape Tape is $20. You can snatch up this concealer for the low cost of $6!

E.L.F. 16 HR Camo Concealer: $6

8. Morphe | Brontour

This little, bronzing, palette is my favorite when it comes to contouring. It comes with a chiseling, darker, matte color and a beautiful, caramel, shimmering color for the perfect contour. When I got this palette, it was being sold in Ulta stores, but now it looks like it’s online only. Totally worth it for $12!

Morphe Brontour: $12

9. Colourpop Cosmetics | Blush Stix

Colourpop should pay me for this article. Haha! I have really been into this whole anime blush trend, so I’ve been using a lot more blush lately! These blush sticks give you a light pink, blended, cheek! All you do is swipe where you want it, and then buff it out with a beauty sponge for beautiful, pink cloud, cheeks.

Colourpop Blush Stix: $8

10. Arches & Halos Luxury Brow Pomade

This is a cheaper alternative to Anastasia‘s Brow Pomade. I like this pomade as an alternative, but the Anastasia’s is definitely creamier. It does give you some serious color though! It gives you the color without it looking like there’s sharpie on your face. Super important. A little goes a long way with this, so don’t dig into it when applying.  This brow pomade and brand can be found at Target.

On sale right now for $7.99. Original Price Below.

Arches & Halos Luxury Brow Building Pomade: $ 9.99

11. The Balm | Mary-Lou Manizer

This is my favorite highlighter. Mary-Lou Manizer is one of the very few items I’ve hit pan on. It gives you such a natural looking glow. Where some highlighters are a bit more chunky and glittery, Mary-Lou Manizer is fine and shimmery. It goes on like a fine powder, and has some serious shine! It’s the perfect finishing touch for a full face of makeup!

The Balm Cosmetics Mary-Lou Manizer Highlighter: $24
